Unknown to many visitors of the highlands, there are plenty of undiscovered tourist destinations outside Baguio City and La Trinidad in the BLISTT area. From breathtaking waterfalls to beautiful orchards and amazing caves, there’s an abundance of unique and spectacular ecotourism destinations just lying in wait. And one of the BLISTT project’s main agendas is to shine a spotlight on these places.
The Best BLISTT Tourist Destinations
Baguio

Baguio City has become a familiar destination for many who have come and visited the city multiple times now. And in this leg of the BLISTT plan, it will primarily serve as a tourist service center where tourists can lodge and rest before proceeding to the other BLISTT areas.
La Trinidad

Already known for being the strawberry capital of the Philippines and the salad bowl of the Philippines, La Trinidad will further showcase their agri-tourism. Some of the places tourists can visit here are their lively Agri-tourism and Cultural Village in Wangal, the breathtaking rose garden of the Philippines in Bahong, and La Trinidad’s very own agroforestry nature park.
Itogon

Currently, Itogon’s Mt. Ugo is creating a name for itself as a premier hiking destination in the North. What makes this climb unique is the community immersion and the historical and cultural features mixed into it such as showcasing the Spanish trail connecting Nueva Vizcaya and Pangasinan and the native Iowak houses found along the trail. Aside from that, Itogon also features the Balatoc mines tour and the Itogon hot springs.
Sablan

In addition to La Trinidad, Sablan is also emerging as an agri-tourism site with its flourishing orchards and lush fruit farms. The municipality also has plenty of potential hiking spots like Mt. Esbo and Mt. Pokgong. And it also has plenty of waterfalls like the Sabdang Waterfalls and Towing Waterfalls that can be potential premiere ecotourism sites as well.
Tuba

Among the BLISTT tourist destinations, Tuba has already had a fair start in its ecotourism. It’s already popular among locals and visitors for Mt. Sto. Tomas, the Bencab museum, the Asin Woodcrafts, the numerous theme parks, and the Asin hot springs.
Tublay

Last but not the least in the BLISTT project is Tublay which beckons adventurers to experience their beautiful mountains, amazing waterfalls, majestic caves, and numerous hot springs. Apart from all that, Tublay is also rich in eco-cultural sites such as the WINACA Eco-Cultural Village.
