Like most working adults, Baguio City only has a few hours of delicate peace each night. The flurry of activity in the city doesn’t end with work and classes, no. It goes on until the late hours of the night. And it gives a whole new side of the city to explore. So, if you’re trying to figure out how to enjoy Baguio City at night, here are some activities you can try.

Night Market

Everyone loves a good deal; and in Baguio City’s night market, there are plenty. Here, you can find all sorts of things from shoes, bags, clothes, street food, and even kitchenware and house decor items. You’d just have to walk the length of it to find out what other things might interest you. Pro-tip though, if you want to avoid people, you might want to avoid visiting the night market on Fridays and weekends. These days, you might have a hard time looking through all the apparel.

Try Craft Beers

If you’re looking for something new for a chill night with friends, why not try having a taste run of Baguio Craft Brewery’s freshly brewed beers. They have 18 rotating taps that present an assortment of beer flavors. Their fruity ones include strawberry, passionfruit, and kiwi. They also have wheat beers such as the Kabunyan (American wheat beer) and the Rolling Fog (German Hefeweizen). If you want to opt for the heavier ones, take a pick from their ale assortment.

Open mics gather a lot of talented people who are passionate about arts and a lot of pieces performed in these places do offer something to think about. If you want an artful experience of Baguio City at night, catch one of these either at Cafe Yagam or at the Mt. Cloud Bookshop. Just ask around. And don’t worry if you’re not the type to perform in front of people. You can just sit back and simply bask in the different songs, slam poetry, and other performances there.

If you’re looking for a new meal experience, there are plenty waiting for you in Baguio City at night. You can choose from the usual assortment of mouthwatering Cordilleran delicacies. Or, you can try out the different international cuisines around the city. Better yet, why not try some unusual dishes cooked up by local establishments such as strawberry champorado or strawberry sinigang. They might seem strange, but then again you’ll never know if it works for you until you try it.
