Empowering Langkaan Elementary School with Heart
As school bells rang in a new venture of the academic year, M Lhuillier brought more than just goodwill to Langkaan Elementary School in Dasmariñas, Cavite. Through Eduk-Aksyon Season 2 proper initiative, M Lhuillier delivered something transformative: a new canopy and an upgraded bulletin board that the school community can now call their own.
It all just started with a heartfelt conversation. The school’s problems, including a broken bulletin board that was begging for care, were discussed by the M Lhuillier team and the school administration. When the team crew saw how important this small but essential piece of school infrastructure was, they felt they could assist.
Why is a bulletin board so important? There’s more to it than a board with papers and pins. It serves as the hub of school communication, bringing announcements, accomplishments, and changes to the attention of parents, teachers, and students. By combining this with a new canopy, the bulletin area was protected from heat and rain, making it a more inviting gathering place for everybody.
The project officially came to life during a cheerful turnover ceremony, attended by the school’s master teacher, Edwina David, and her colleagues. M Lhuillier’s OPEC President Ruel P. Lungcay and Area Manager Rex Ordo also graced the event, sharing heartfelt messages that highlighted their commitment to uplifting educational communities.
And it didn’t stop there. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the unveiling of the new canopy and board, followed by the distribution of school supplies to selected students—because empowerment isn’t just about structures; it’s about equipping students to succeed.
But this isn’t M Lhuillier’s first rodeo. The school canteen of Bucal 1 Elementary School in Maragondon, Cavite, was restored by the M Lhuillier team in Eduk-Aksyon Season 1. Their persistent work demonstrates a primary purpose: to support communities’ growth, one significant initiative at a time.
M Lhuillier’s Eduk-Aksyon program is a testament to what Corporate Social Responsibility should look like—action with a heart and a legacy that genuinely makes a difference—by attending to both practical requirements and the general well-being of schools.
