New Places to visit in Baguio City 2022

Here are 3 places you should have on your itinerary.

Igorot Stone Kingdom

The Igorot Stone Kingdom was launched to the public in 2021. It is a man-made Igorot theme park based on the legend of Sabangan about the Igorot Kingdom that once existed but was lost a thousand years ago. It features a towering stone wall that is reminiscent of an old-world castle and portrays the story of Gatan and Bangan, an Igorot man and woman who survived the great holocaust. This fairly new park is located along Long-Long street in Pinsao Proper Village. If you plan on visiting soon, an entrance fee of around P100.00 is in place.

Mirador Heritage Park

The Mirador Heritage Park is one that is frequently visited by residents and tourists alike. This park is located at Mirador Jesuit Villa and Retreat House. It has a limestone rock garden with pine trees that surround it. The best feature of this park is the Baguio Bamboo Eco-Park at St. Francis Xavier Seminary. This is a bamboo forest that is reminiscent of the Arashiyama Forest in Kyoto, Japan.  The entrance fee is about P50.00 per person with a parking fee of around P25.00.

Dominican Heritage Hill and Nature Park

While this isn’t exactly a new tourist destination, there have been some major changes and renovations done to the place. The Diplomat Hotel has been known as a haunted house for the longest time – it’s abandoned and it’s old. Today, the whole hill area has been declared a heritage and historical site. It is undergoing some rehabilitation and development and is now open to photoshoots, filmmaking, wedding receptions, and other events and function. This is also where the city holds some events during the Ibagiw Creative Festival in November. It’s definitely worth the visit!

These are a few of the new places to visit in Baguio City. Which would you visit first?
