After all the deals are done and signed, moving into your new Baguio home is the next big thing to do. Below are some pre-move in projects that can save you a lot of time, effort, and trouble in the long run
Painting
If you’re thinking of painting your walls and ceilings, better do it before the furniture and all your stuff come in. It’ll be easier to paint empty rooms because there’ll be no need to move furniture around, clear out closets, take pictures off the walls, and even cover anything up. It’ll also make the job a lot faster. And you’ll be able to move into a home with fresh new paint.
Flooring
Replacing flooring is one expensive deal and a major project. But, sometimes, for the better of everybody, ugly or old and discolored flooring just has to be changed. You may think that it’s a little bit much to do it before you even get settled into your new Baguio home, but think of the costs and the hassle that it’ll present you when you wait to do it at a later date. If you have the budget, do yourself a favor and get it done.
Hazard Removal
Baguio is prone to strong winds and rain. So, if you see any hazardous trees or elements around your home, make sure to take care of it immediately. Don’t wait for the storms to come and your new Baguio house to be damaged before doing anything about it.
Locks and Keys
Always make sure that you’re the only one with the keys to your house. If you’re moving into an old home and aren’t sure how many other people the previous owners entrusted duplicates to, better change your locks and keys.
Electrical Upgrades
Before moving in, check that your electrical system is fine or if you have enough electrical outlets. If you see a problem or want to upgrade somewhere, the pre-move in time would be the perfect time to do it. You get less hassle and everything will be ready when you move in.
